Siesta Key

The barrier island of Siesta Key is located between Roberts Bay and the Gulf of Mexico. A portion of it lies within the city boundary of Sarasota, while most of the island is not within the city limits. Known for its world class beaches, the island is one of the most diverse areas in Sarasota.  Investors, and snowbirds, own homes to vacation in or rent to visitors.  The center of the Island is a hub of activity with shops and restaurants galore.  But there is a quieter and calmer side of Siesta Key as well, with many large, owner-occupied luxury homes. Egress is obtained by one of two bridges.  The north bridge is just a short drive from downtown Sarasota and the Sarasota Bayfront.  Here you will find a pleather of cultural events, incredible fine dining and recreational options. The south bride will take you to South Tamiami Trail, and all that the southern part of the county offers, including a short drive to Casey Key, and Nokomis and Venice beaches.
