Venice

The City of Venice is 23 miles south of Sarasota. "Venice Island" is a portion of the mainland that is accessed via bridges over the artificially created Intracoastal Waterway. This area attracts tourists and locals alike. The downtown area has a wide variety of boutiques, shops and restaurants. Accessible by foot or a short car ride, the Venice beach area has a fishing pier, and casual and fine dining waterfront restaurants. There are a number of annual rentals on the island, so investment opportunities are a possibility. For those who seek to live there full time, or escape to the warm weather in the winter months, real estate ranges from affordable smaller homes and condos, to waterfront properties ranging up to the mid-millions.
